Among internationally educated nurses, or nurses who finished their course outside the U.S. the Filipino nurses constitute the biggest number of NCLEX exam-takers.

Statistics from the NCSBN (National Council of State Board of Nursing), which gives the NCLEX exams, shows that for the year 2007, there were 21, 499 Filipino nurses who took the exams, or 39.7% of the total internationally- educated nurses. The Philippines was followed by India, South Korea, Canada and Cuba.

For the first 6 months of 2008, the Philippines had 39.2% of the total.
